Download — v2.1.6-alpha.1
HYPER LIGHT is in private beta. There is no public download yet: builds go to people who ask, platform by platform, and every one starts with fourteen days of everything.
Your platform
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The console, the visualiser, HYPER-MAPPER and Guard licensing in one installer.
No ARM64 build exists, and the x64 build has not been tested under emulation. Ask for it, and say which machine.
The console drives the GPU and video decoder through Windows' own interfaces (Direct3D 11, Media Foundation).
Windows only, by design.
Fixture library
HYPER LIGHT reads the fixture files you already have. It does not bundle, redistribute or sell anyone's fixture library: get official files from the manufacturer, and the console reads them where they are.
The General Device Type Format (DIN SPEC 15800) — the console's native fixture format, read with every channel function, wheel and geometry the file describes.
Put the files in the console's Personalities folder, or load one in Quick Patch: Load a device file…
the GDTF Group's library and builder
An installed Titan library is found and indexed when the console starts — all of it, read where it is. A single personality can be loaded from any folder.
Install Titan from Avolites (Personality Builder comes with it), or load a .d4 in Quick Patch.
its Personalities section: download and request personalities
No .r20 file was available to build a parser from, so the console reads only the XML form and refuses any other with its reason — it never guesses at a patch.
Have a .r20 the console refuses? Send it to us and it will be supported properly.
Third-party formats are read for interoperability only (licence agreement §8.1). Avolites, Titan, Pearl and Personality Builder are trademarks of Avolites Ltd; GDTF is an open format standardised as DIN SPEC 15800. All third-party trademarks, logos and file specifications remain the property of their owners; HYPER LIGHT is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
How it goes
System requirements
Using the console means accepting its licence agreement, which it shows before it first starts.
