How many universes, and what the network carries

Fixtures are packed as Quick Patch packs them: in order, never split across a universe. Figures use the console's 44 frames a second and frame sizes measured on the wire in Lesson 14.

The console sends every universe it runs whether or not anything is patched on it — the load follows the universe count (top drawer → UNIVERSES), not the rig. Wi-Fi does not retry lost broadcast: wire the show.
